We’re happy to share that Arena, an all new game feature, is coming soon to Game of Thrones: Conquest! Arena adds a new building to your city that will allow you to test your strength against your enemies in order to earn progress in a monthly event complete with a leaderboard that yields various rewards. We’re sure that you’re eager to know more so let’s take a quick look at some of what the Arena has to offer.
Overview
The Arena is a brand new building within your city that can be built early in your Kingdom’s journey. Once your Arena is constructed, you can head there to participate in battle in a new or repeated lineup in order to get your prizes. Within this new building, you’ll be able to battle against a variety of PVE enemies for points on the leaderboard which lead to a variety of rewards. There will also be a monthly leaderboard that will let you track your progress, so it’ll be easy to see how you rank amongst others within the community.

Combat Overview
During the event, enemies appear within the Arena on a set rotation. Once an enemy has spawned you’ll work to deal as much damage as possible before the time expires. Arena places you on the leaderboard in accordance with your highest cumulative damage dealt within the event duration and not your single greatest hit. Should there ever be a tie, the first player to reach the amount of damage for that tie takes the higher ranking spot. In addition, there are no casualties in the Arena and none of your troops will die or need to be healed.

How to Participate
In order to take a turn within the Arena, you’ll have to get your hands on Sponsors. Simply put, Sponsors are the currency you’ll use for Arena participation. Every week your Arena building will generate Sponsors which can then be used to participate in a single Arena battle. Sponsors cannot be stockpiled and must be used prior to the end of the current monthly arc. You can pick up Sponsors every day when they arrive in timed shipments similar to the port or the storehouse.

Battle Deep Dive
Battles happen inside the Arena within your city and not in the overworld map. Due to this fact, there are no march times. Battles are a little different than how they are in normal PVE combat. Event points will be rewarded for how hard the creatures are hit. After every battle, the monster will rotate to the next. Using appropriate equipment, heroes, and buffs to maximize your PVE attacks against certain creature types (weakness and otherwise) will be a great way to maximize your points in the Arena.

Sponsors and Rewards
Rewards for Arena will vary and will be determined by your personal and allegiance leaderboard. In addition to bragging rights, some additional material rewards include Hero XP and crafting materials. At the start of each new monthly arc, leftover Sponsors will be converted into scholarly fragments so they cannot be stockpiled for the next Arena event. This ensures that all players begin each Arena cycle on equal and fair footing.

We hope that you’re as excited as we are for the Arena to launch, soon. We’ll be testing Arena on Kingdoms 1760 and 1793 from May 20th – May 27th with a wider rollout happening at a future date.
Known Issues: Testing Kingdoms
The following are known issues that players may encounter during this preview, but should be resolved before the full release of the Arena. Additional issues may be added to this list as the test progresses.
- There currently is not a notification for your daily delivery of Sponsors, so keep an eye on your deliveries in order to pick them up when they’re ready to be claimed. We’ll be adding a notification for this in future.
- If you encounter a delay in personal or allegiance Damage scores updating, you can tap the back arrow, leaderboard or the reports in order to refresh the scores.
- Dragon Firebreath attack mechanics are not final, and will not consume charges during this preview. Expect updates here in future!
- You may need to refresh your game when the event shifts from “coming soon” to “active” in order to see the event properly.
- If a player uses the “Expanded March” Hero Action it will prevent a player from completing an attack in the Arena. Sponsors will not be lost and a battle report will not be registered. The attack will do the animation but not complete.
This is the first preview of the feature so in general you can expect more adjustments and improvements to come!
